NEW YORK, NY – Today, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) announced that he successfully secured $21 million in funding over the next two fiscal years to equip Customs and Border Protection (CBP) border agents with body-worn cameras. Rep. Espaillat previously secured funding for a two-year pilot study conducted by the CBP at the direction of Congress, which showed that border patrol agents and the public would benefit from implementation of body-worn cameras.
