Representative Adriano Espaillat Recognizes the Beginning of Rosh Hashanah

NEW YORK, NY – Today, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) issued the following statement in recognition of the upcoming Jewish New Year - Rosh Hashanah:

"Starting today through Sunday, September 20th, our Jewish community celebrates the start of the High Holy Days, beginning with the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. It is a time for family and friends, to gather together and reflect on the hardships, achievements, special occasions and moments of happiness that this past year has brought us. We recall the challenges and adversities that our country and the Jewish community have been through, working together to overcome them and being grateful for the blessings we have received. It is a time for inner renewal and forgiveness, for us and those we have wronged, and we pray for love and reconciliation with those with whom we have differences," said Rep. Espaillat.

"Rosh Hashanah is a time to look forward, to define our new year resolutions with a positive attitude and start contributing to a better future.
