REPRESENTATIVE ADRIANO ESPAILLAT MARKS THE END OF RAMADAN
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) released the following statement in recognition of the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
“To the millions of patriotic and devout Muslim brothers and sisters here in the United States and abroad, I wish all a heartfelt Eid Mubarak,” said Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13). “This Eid holiday, Eid-al-Fitr, commemorates the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr is marked by celebrations and festivities with friends and family. It also represents a renewal and reinvigoration to their faith and commitment to empathy, understanding, and patience with everyone in their community, regardless of faith or belief.
“Diversity and inclusion make America beautiful. Understanding and learning about different religions, backgrounds, and practices is foundational to the progress we have made as a society. The diversity of our Muslim community and spirit of inclusion by Americans of all faiths brings us together more than anything that can ever separate us. To all patriotic Americans who embraced the Holy Month of Ramadan, Eid Mubarak.”
