Representative Adriano Espaillat Launches Interactive Infrastructure Map

NEW YORK, NY – Today, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind interactive digital infrastructure map detailing new and ongoing infrastructure projects throughout New York’s 13th congressional district – all powered by the reports of district residents.

Rep. Espaillat secured nearly $8 billion in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to fund the Second Avenue Subway expansion, rebuild our city’s crumbling bridges, repave our decades-old roads, and much more to make transit routes safer and more accessible for all New Yorkers – and this state-of-the-art interactive feature allows constituents to engage directly to help monitor and ensure infrastructure service requests and outages are made public and repairs are handled in a timely manner.

“Today, I’m delighted to launch this new interactive infrastructure map for my congressional district — an interactive tool for my constituents to report infrastructure issues that are in dire need of our attention and submit their requests via the portal on my website,” said Rep. Espaillat. “I know first-hand the impact decades of disinvestment in our City’s infrastructure has had on our children, families, and communities – and that’s why I’m proud to announce this effort today to increase transparency and awareness of the ongoing infrastructure projects around the district. The more issues or ongoing projects residents report, the more information I will have to help redirect federal funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which I helped pass, to the communities that need federal assistance the most. This interactive tool developed by the office of Rep. Adriano Espaillat allows residents to pin a location on the leftward map or type in a specific address to report any infrastructure issues that need immediate attention in any neighborhood and across New York’s 13th congressional district. The more issues or ongoing projects that are reported, the more information that will be reported to help redirect federal funding to these projects.
