Representative Adriano Espaillat Hosts Virtual Veterans Town Hall on the American Rescue Plan, Discusses Relief for District Veterans
Espaillat will be Joined by Special Guests: Rep. Mark Takano, Chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Veterans' Affairs and representatives from veterans service organizations in the district.
NEW YORK, NY – Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) will hold a virtual Veterans Town Hall on Wednesday, May 26th at 4:00 p.m. EST, to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis on the health and economic wellbeing of veterans throughout New York's 13th congressional district.
During the virtual session, Rep. Espaillat will be joined by special guests: Rep. Mark Takano, Chairman of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee and representatives from the New York Regional Office of Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans Business Outreach Center to highlight key benefits of the American Rescue Plan and services for veterans.
The American Rescue Plan enhances Veterans Affairs' ability to deliver world class services to veterans and their families, and it will help ease thousands of veterans’ worries by forgiving some accumulated debt, speed up VA compensation claims, and provide much need funding to retrain them in high-demand occupations.
Rep. Espaillat and guests will provide a detailed overview of how the American Rescue Plan will help improve the lives of veterans and the resources available to them and their families.
