Representative Adriano Espaillat to Host Annual Black History Month Program

NEW YORK, NY – Today, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) will host his annual Black History Month program starting at 6:00 p.m. EST streamed live on Facebook.

During the virtual event, Rep. Espaillat will honor Harlem luminaries and recognize African American leaders from New York’s 13th congressional district for their commitment and dedication to the community. 2022 Honorees include: Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark; Rose Pierre-Louis, Chief Operating Officer (COO), McSilver Institute; and, Dr. Karen Thornton, M.D.

“This month, we honor Black history and celebrate the accomplishments and perseverance of African Americans throughout the history of our nation and recognize the ongoing efforts of New York leaders who continue to help improve the lives of all residents throughout my congressional district," said Rep. Espaillat. “I am delighted to honor these distinguished individuals during this year's Black History Month program and know that their respective journeys will continue to inspire each of us."
