Will Host Funding Presentations This Week in the District

NEW YORK, NY – Representative Espaillat (NY-13) delivers more than $14.1 million ($14,132,000) in Community Project Funding for New York’s 13th District as part of the FY2026 cycle spending bills. This funding responds directly to some of the most pressing needs throughout New York's 13th congressional district.

“I am pleased to have secured $14,132,000 in Community Project Funding this Congress to benefit programs across New York’s 13th district,” said Rep. Espaillat. “These investments grow our economy, making a real difference in the lives of so many in our community. I am proud to have fought for funding that will have a profound impact, while making our communities healthier, safer, and stronger.”

Rep. Espaillat championed funding for projects that directly benefit New York’s 13th District residents. These include: 
 

  • $1,031,000 to the Police Athletic League, Inc. to operate youth centers to support recreation, enrichment, job skills training, crime prevention workshop, and mentorship;
  • $1,031,000 to We All Really Matter to expand domestic violence victim and survivor services for constituents;
  • $3,150,000 to CUNY Dominican Studies Institute to expand its research capacity and enhance its archival resources;
  • $2,000,000 to the City College of New York (CCNY) to rehabilitate, restore, and acquire new training facilities across the CCNY campus and the Harlem community;
  • $1,200,000 to Bronx Community College to restore the Auto Technology AAS Building;
  • $820,000 to Lehman College to revitalize the college athletics field to enhance accessibility;
  • $850,000 to New York Housing Authority to improve security upgrades to the Jefferson Community Center;
  • $850,000 to the Small Business Services for the purchase and installation of energy-efficient lighting;
  • $850,000 to PS 187 to make energy efficient upgrades to the school infrastructure;
  • $850,000 to George Washington Educational Campus to upgrade the campus auditorium;
  • $500,000 to PS 171 to renovate restroom facilities;
  • $250,000 to PS 115 to renovate the school yard and playground;
  • $250,000 to NY Department of Transportation to upgrade lighting infrastructure within the services areas of 131st to 139th streets;
  • $250,000 to New York State Homes and Community Renewal to renovate the lobby floor of the Amalgamated Housing Complex;
  • $250,000 to New York State Homes and Community Renewal to renovate the lower level garage for the Inwood Heights Housing Complexes;

Together with the funding for New York’s 13th District, this funding increases critical government programs and will continue to support the local economy and support communities.
