Rep. Adriano Espaillat Seeks Wounded Warrior, Retired Veteran for Fellowship
NEW YORK, NY -- Today, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) announced that he is seeking a wounded warrior or medically retired veteran for a two-year paid fellowship in his Harlem district office. The Wounded Warrior Fellowship Program was established to create employment opportunities for wounded or disabled veterans within the U.S. House of Representatives. These fellowships provide veterans with experience and exposure to broaden career opportunities. Positions are available in Congressional District Offices nationwide. The fellow will assist with veteran-related casework in our district office while advocating for our military and veteran constituents by serving as the facilitator between them and local, state and federal agencies. “The Wounded Warrior Fellowship Program is a unique opportunity to honor our service members who put their lives on the line for our country. As we continue the fight in Congress for better resources and healthcare for our veterans to return to civilian life, this special opportunity is a personal way for me to thank our service members for their sacrifice, dedication and commitment, while ensuring that we do not leave them behind,” said Rep. Espaillat. To qualify, veterans must meet all of the following requirements:
Veterans who are in receipt of a 20-year or Temporary Early Retirement Authorization (TERA) retirement are not eligible for the program. Interested veterans can click here for more information on how to apply. ###
