WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) released a new report from the Joint Economic Committee estimating that 77,000 Child Tax Credit monthly tax cuts were sent to families in New York’s 13th Congressional District in November. A total of $31.4 million in tax cuts went back in the pockets of hardworking families.

Statewide, 2,012,000 monthly tax cuts went to families in November for a total of $847.2 million. The average tax cut per household was $421.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Representatives Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) and Ritchie Torres (NY-15) issued the following statements hailing the inclusion of language in the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (T-HUD) Fiscal Year 2022 appropriations bill that eases restrictions on public housing agency (PHA) reserve funds and allows them to be used for additional Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers. This language permits New York City Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) to issue approximately an additional 1,500 Section 8 vouchers.
