Statement from Representative Adriano Espaillat on the Israel-Hamas War
NEW YORK, NY – Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) issued the following statement regarding the ongoing Israel-Hamas war:
"I stand with President Biden in his leadership and commitment to addressing this crisis. Congress must offer its unwavering support for the release of all hostages, humanitarian aid to Gaza, and for the evacuation of as many civilians as possible to reduce further escalation of violence in the region.
"I fully support Senate Majority Leader Schumer's call in trusting the Israeli people to chart a new path for their nation and replacing obstacles to peace in the region through democracy. I remain confident we can and must achieve a two state solution and lasting peace that Israelis and Palestinians deserve."
