Representative Adriano Espaillat Joins CNN to Tout President Biden's Executive Order to Keep Families Together
WASHINGTON, DC -- Today, Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13), Deputy Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), issued a statement following President Biden's executive action to protect undocumented spouses of American citizens — a move that would shield 500,000 immigrants from deportation.
Watch Rep. Espaillat's segment with CNN News Central with hosts Brianna Keilar that aired earlier today:
"I commend President Biden on today's announcement, which marks the most significant executive action for immigrants since DACA," said Espaillat. "These ongoing efforts to keep families together will ensure work permits and legal status for 500,000 non-citizens who have been in the country for at least 10 years and are married to a U.S. citizen and their children to apply for permanent residence without leaving the country.
"Today's announcement will keep families together and provide immigrants and their families the long awaited relief they deserve."
