Event Held Annually in Recognition of Dominican Heritage Month
WASHINGTON, DC – Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) welcomed a record breaking attendance to the United States Capitol during the 7th Annual Dominicans on the Hill. During this year's event, leaders from across the Dominican diaspora participated in a series of panel discussions and presentations discussing the increasing representation of Dominican Americans in business, economic development, media, entertainment, and technology, highlighting success stories and discussing ways to further elevate Dominican voices in the United States and beyond.

Held annually during Dominican Heritage Month, Dominicans on the Hill is a signature event created by Rep. Espaillat to recognize and celebrate the political, economic, and cultural contributions of Dominican Americans in the United States. The event gathers hundreds of elected officials, professionals, students, and community leaders to engage in high-level discussions on key issues affecting the Dominican diaspora.
This year’s event featured dynamic conversations on business, politics, technology, and culture, bringing together prominent figures from government, media, business, and sports.

Representative Espaillat is the first Dominican American to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives and his congressional district includes Harlem, East Harlem, West Harlem, Hamilton Heights, Washington Heights, Inwood, Marble Hill and the north-west Bronx. First elected to Congress in 2016, Representative Espaillat is serving his fifth term in Congress. Representative Espaillat currently serves as a member of the influential U.S. House Committee on Appropriations responsible for funding the federal government’s vital activities and serves as Ranking Member of the Legislative Branch Subcommittee of the committee during the 119th Congress.
