Representative Adriano Espaillat Applauds Biden Administration for Extending TPS to Venezuela and El Salvador
NEW YORK, NY — Today, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) issued the following statement applauding the Biden Administration and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for extending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuela and El Salvador:
“I commend President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas for their unwavering commitment to protecting vulnerable communities through the extension of Temporary Protected Status for Venezuela and El Salvador. This decision provides relief and stability to hundreds of thousands of individuals who cannot safely return to their home countries due to ongoing environmental and political crises. It reflects our nation's values of compassion and humanity, and I vow to continue in my efforts to ensure support for these communities,” said Rep. Espaillat.
