Espaillat Issues Reminder of Oct. 29 Deadline to Apply to Attend U.S. Service Academies

Congressman Adriano Espaillat (NY-13), who represents parts of the Bronx and Northern Manhattan, issued a reminder on Monday, Oct. 22, of the upcoming deadline for incoming district high school seniors to apply to attend the U.S. Service Academies.

“I encourage all eligible high school seniors in my district to submit applications to be considered for placement to attend any of the U.S. Service Academies to have an opportunity to serve our country,” said Espaillat.

According to a press release from Espaillat’s office, the honor of attending a service academy comes with the obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
