New YorkWednesday, August 21st, at 10am Congressman Adriano Espaillat will join a delegation of New York and New Jersey Members of Congress to tour the Elizabeth Contract Detention Facility (CDF), a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in New Jersey that holds 300 immigrant detainees. Included in the visiting delegation are U.S Representatives Gregory Meeks, Albio Sires, Hakeem Jeffries, and Frank Pallone.

"As a co-chair of the Latino-Jewish Caucus and a member of the Foreign Affairs committee, I strongly disagree with the Israeli government's decision to deny entry to my colleagues, Congresswoman Omar and Congresswoman Tlaib, and condemn President Trump for encouraging this politically biased decision," said Congressman Espaillat.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) and Congressman Dwight Evans (PA-3) reintroduced the No Funding for Confederate Symbols Act, legislation that would prohibit Federal funds from being used to create, maintain, or display, as applicable, any Confederate symbol on Federal public land, including any highway, park, subway, Federal building, military base, street, or other Federal property.
