Tour Request
The U.S. Capitol is open for tours, including staff-led tours. Currently, staff-led tours are available Monday through Friday and are restricted to one tour per week with a cap at 15 people. Please be mindful that because of these rules, tours will be limited. To ensure a spot on a staff-led store, please allow plenty of time in advance.
For your travel planning, below is a list of Washington, D.C. museums and their operating status:
The White House: Public tours are typically available from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, excluding Federal holidays or unless otherwise noted. Tours are available to schedule during a 21-to-90-day window from the date of booking. If your tour is confirmed, please note that you will be assigned a specific time. All White House tours are free of charge. The White House tour schedule is subject to change, with little notice, based on inclement weather or official use.
United States Capitol and House and Senate Office Buildings: The U.S. Capitol Building and House and Senate Office Buildings are currently open.
Library of Congress: Free timed-entry tickets are required to enter the Library’s Thomas Jefferson Building. Last entry for visitors is 30 minutes prior to closing.Reserve timed-entry tickets here.
FBI Building: Contact my office and ask to schedule a tour of The FBI Experience. Operating hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, excluding federal holidays. You can schedule a visit to The FBI Experience up to five months in advance but no later than four weeks prior to the desired visit date. In the event of unforeseen operating delays and/or closures of the JEH building, tours during impacted hours will be canceled. Tours must be rescheduled for a later date.
Bureau of Engraving and Printing: To secure a spot on the Department of Engraving and Printing tour, tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis from March 4 through August 30, 2024. Interested individuals can request up to four tickets per adult, with distribution starting at 8 a.m. daily at the Tour and Visitor Center entrance on 14th Street. Admission is free, ensuring open access to this unique experience.
Department of State: Building CLOSED to public and all tours SUSPENDED until further notice.
Pentagon: Offers tours on a limited basis for U.S. citizens on Tuesdays and Thursday at 10 a.m. and 1p.m. Pentagon guides will conduct tours for us to 20 people during each time slot. Individuals must register at least two weeks in advance and will require clearance to enter the Pentagon by the Pentagon Protection agency. Tours are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis. The tour is approximately 1.5 miles in length and last for approximately 60 minutes.
