Today, I rise in opposition to H. R. 4364, the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act of 2024.

(NY-16) led an urgent congressional letter to President Biden, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), urging the administration to issue an interim final rule to keep the current 540-day automatic work authorization extension period in place for immigrants who apply to renew their work permits (EADs) with USCIS.

" I am deeply saddened and am praying for all civilian lives lost, Israeli and Palestinian, during this devastating conflict.

The explosion of a hospital-where the wounded and most vulnerable seek shelter and where the most selfless doctors and nurses work around the clock to save lives- is abhorrent. Hamas must not hide behind human shields.

I stand with President Biden as America reaffirms Israel's right and obligation to defend itself against terrorism and to minimize civilians caught in the crosshairs."
