WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, March 16, 2020, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) announced changes to office operations in both his Washington, D.C. office and New York district offices.

"The health and safety of our community is our top priority. In order to assist in preventing the further spread of COVID-19, my office is taking new precautionary measures to limit social contact and potential exposure to the virus," said Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13). "We will continue serving constituents in a virtual capacity and my office phone numbers remain operational."

NEW YORK, NY – Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) led members of the New York City congressional delegation to send a letter to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, and New York State Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie to urge the New York State Legislature to enact a ninety (90) day moratorium prohibiting landlords from evicting commercial renters such as a restaurant, bar, bodega, and other enterprises unable to make a full and on-time rental payment due in adherence to executive orders in response to the novel coronavirus 2019 ("COVID-19").

NEW YORK, NYRepresentative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) will hold a press conference tomorrow, Monday, March 16th starting at 8:00 a.m. at Washington Heights Academy located at 202 Sherman Avenue, New York, NY 10034 to reiterate his calls to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYC Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza to close schools immediately to prevent further spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19.

Earlier today, Rep. Espaillat sent a letter to Mayor de Blasio further outlining his call for immediate action to close city schools to protect youth and families as efforts continue to combat the virus.
