WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), announced an additional disbursement of $25 million in emergency funding from the Shelter and Services Program (SSP) and the Emergency Food and Shelter Program – Humanitarian Awards (EFSP-H) to New York City. This money will support local government and nonprofit entities in the City that are working to provide humanitarian relief to newly-arrived asylum seekers and immigrant families.
